I was thrilled when I first got the Caller I.D. service on my phone. I thought, This is gonna be great. I can finally see who’s calling and decide whether I want to answer it or not. Of course, I was wrong. Half the time, all I saw on the little display were the words ‘Out Of Area’ or ‘Private Caller.’ What the fff…?
Yeah. But what really pissed me off was when someone from a large company called and didn’t leave a message. A number appeared on the display, along with the company name. But when I tried to call back, all I got was a receptionist:
“B & S Advertising. How may I direct your call?”
“Uhhh…I dunno.”
Caller Fake I.D. sucks.
um… that call you got from the free clinic about your vd? that was really me just playing a joke on you… sorry.
(pffftt!)
There’s a way around most everything.
Good one, dvl.
Wow. Don’t everybody try to comment at once. You might crash the server.

I’ll bite: the one that cheeses me off the most is (aside: wow, from farts in the above entry to biting and cheese in this one…Paging Dr. Freud…) when they call up & there’s something on the caller ID about an out-of-state number, e.g. “Illinois Call”., especially when you have a lot of friends scattered around the country, so you wind up getting duped by some fraudulent scam when you think it’s your buddy in Kansas or your grandma in New Hampshire on the line.
Then, you pick up the phone to silence, or to “Please hold, for an important phone message”…oh yeah? Kiss my shiny metal ass & pray for rain, Phonotron 2000!!
it sucks when someone has caller id and you try to be a good stalker and block your cell phone number but their phone doesn’t except blocked numbers. damn. stupid caller id.
tiffy just fake the caller id with one you know they will answer friend mom etc its easy and legal.
just google spoofid etc. caller id is crap don’t rely on it especially if you work for my bank or Realtor. Why train yourself to trust an insecure system? or for that matter pay for it and force others to pay for it also not me. Email is more secure than caller id.
