When I was growing up, there was something kind of charming about Goldie Hawn. From Rowen & Martin’s Laugh-In (Yeah, I’m that old) to her famous role in Foul Play with Chevy Chase, she was a joy to watch on the screen. Of course, she got old, and someone eventually had to take her place. Enter Kate Hudson, daughter of Hawn. Ever since this self-proclaimed “actress” lit up the big screen in Almost Famous, she’s become one of the hottest commodities in the entertainment business. Granted, her role in Famous was passable, at best. But take a look at her most recent projects. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. Alex & Emma. It’s like she’s trying to become the next Meg Ryan. She’s got the blonde hair. She’s got the charming smile. There’s only one element she seems to be forgetting: talent. Kate Hudson sucks.

The Wiggles are about the only talent I’m an expert on – now there’s some acting!
I was not aware of The Wiggles. Had to Google them. I wish I hadn’t.
The joys of parenthood.
Hey Smiv, did you do one on James Lipton (that fartknocker from “Inside the Actor’s Studio”) yet?
James Lipton is a good one. But I think Will Ferrel (SNL) and Will Sasso (Mad TV) have pretty much covered that creep. He most definitely sucks.
David Cross (half of “Mr. Show” which they sometimes have on late at night on HBO and is one of the FUNNIEST GODDAMNED THINGS ON EARTH and worth looking for) does a funny…as…*hell*…rendition of JL.
I always thought “Inside the Actor’s Studio” was pretty damn (albeit unintentionally) funny by itself. Especially when he has some loser actor on there who has nothing to say and he’s trying to pick his/her feeble little brain, make ‘em answer questions the way the characters they play in their movies would, stuff like that.
It also cracks me up when one of his students asks a retarded question and he yells at them & kicks ‘em out.
But ahhhh, when he has his little, fluttery, actory, Dr.-Smith-from-”Lost in Space” moments of drama and mystery, well……
In my life, I’ve been to a dacschund race, numerous Star Trek conventions, and an actual ass-kicking contest, and Lipton in Drama Mode is still funnier than any of the other 3 things.
If he ever has Jerry Lewis on as his guest, I plan to do nothing but sit in front of the TV for a good 24 hours beforehand to see that freakshow go down…. “now, Jerry…can I talk to the Bellboy? can you bring him out for me to talk to….?”.
Pure Comedy Gold.
